About Trent
Trent Staton, LCMHC, MBA, is the founder of Cornerstone Practice, a faith-based consulting firm serving churches and faith-based nonprofits. He is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, a licensed minister, and holds an MBA. His counseling background helps keep care sensitive to people’s experiences; his business background helps make plans clear, practical, and ready for board and funder conversations.
With twenty years of church leadership experience and thirteen years in nonprofit management supporting $20M+ in annual operations, Trent has scaled ministry programs and designed outcome-based human service programs that actually get used. His strategic planning and executive leadership work focuses on practical tools that fit your budget, your staff, and the needs you carry.
Trent uses what the team learns to keep the work focused on its mission. He believes care should be dependable and clear enough for others to carry forward when a leader moves on. That shapes the tools, playbooks, and quarterly reviews he builds with you.
